Our Masters & Wardens Association

      This association is open to all Masons throughout this district at regular meetings of this association.  There are meetings on the 4th Tuesday of each month, except in the months of July, August, and December.  The meetings are held at a different lodge in the District each month.  (Each Lodge usually hosts a meeting once each year.)  If you'd like to be on the mailing list for Masters and Wardens, the association asks for an annual donation of $5.00 (Five dollars)  The association Secretary maintains the roster of members.  Meeting dates and contact info follows:

18th Masonic District            Masters & Wardens Association

A regular meeting of the Association was held at Buxton Lodge in on Tuesday evening, 26 February 2008 with 13 masons and one guest present.

V President Dave Perkins opened the meeting at 7:20 PM and asked us to join him in saluting the flag of our country.

V President Perkins thankedthe Master of the host Lodge,  and those responsible for the fine supper of  Macroni with tomato sauce and Hot Italian Sausages, home made biscuits, plenty of coffee, milkand soft drinks to go around. Top the fine meal off with Chocolate cake and Ice cream. Great meal Matt.

1st Time Visitors: Jason Grant of Buxton Lodge, Steve Littlefield and Arthur Littlefield of Saco Lodge, Dwayne Desjardines, a candidate at Buxton was our guest

Grand Lodge Officers were recognized, including: R W steve Nichols Grand Lecturer.

Past District Deputy Grand Masters recognized including, RW Gerald Gannett.

Fifty-year members recognized included: Due to the inclemency of the weather none of our old timers showed up.

Program for the evening: A short reading by Brother Gannett served as the entertainment for the evening. The humor of Roger Berube and some Tales from the Crypt

Minutes of the previous meeting were read by Bro. Butch Gannett

The Treasurers report was presented by Jim Bower, treasurer: Cash on hand was $ 1329.43.

Reports of sickness or distress: Brother Bob Varnum is in the Portmouth Hospital at the present dealing with Asthma and COPD. A card was circulated and will be personnaly delivered.

Bills presented: The sec. presented a bill for $159.90 for get well and sympathy cards.

The Roll Call was taken and Buxton Lodge won the Gavel with  11-points. Second was Saco Lodge with 8- pts.

Announcementswere made around the room.

Pie Auction to support the International Order ofRainbow for Girls to be sponsored by Buxton and Saco Lodge on 8 March at Buxton Lodge. Come and bring money to support this fine youth organization. See attached flyer.
